Project Description
This is the first of renal dialysis treatment in the community, provided through a partnership between a private medical centre and a public health service.
Featuring full nurse call and remote management by Hutt Hospital, this renal dialysis unit adds an additional 14 chairs to the existing CCDHB renal care service.
The base building is an Importance Level 4 (IL4) laminated timber structure using Tectonus dampers.
As part of the IL4 fit out a backup generator was added, backup water supply tanks have also been installed to provide continuous care after an emergency.
The installation included working closely with Baxter Healthcare to install the Dual Stage reverse osmosis system, pre-treatment, points of use and other plant components for dialysis.
